This project was commissioned to CI Design. I helped with the original brief which included a total of three symbols for three different hotels that had to adopt the shape of a tear-drop. We also had to avoid that the individual strokes conforming the drawings created meaning of any kind.

Referencing classic arabic calligrams, we decided to identify the first hotel with a sea-horse by its proximity to the sea. The myth also tells that horses originated in the sea before they migrated to the continent.
