Identity and stationery for the Museum of Architecture in Buenos Aires (Marq). The project developed from the use of a stencil typeface for its logo, inspired in the well-known modular stencil font by Le Corbusier. It can be easily applied on the architecture of the building and, apart from its historical references, has a highly constructive quality.
For the letterhead, we decided to print the logo on the back of the pages so that it could reveal itself on the front through the effect of light - a crucial architectural element. The back side of the letterhead paper is also hardly ever considered for applying information, but perfect for visually exploiting our logo. By placing it there, it left the front clean and open, with space onto which the word ‘Marq’ could reveal itself.
Co-designed with Roberto García Balza and Marcela González.
