Identity
Nobel Peace Center | Nobel Peace Center Oslo
Stencil signage system including family of pictograms designed for the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo. The stencil feature was applied to the client’s institutional font, Akzidenz Grotesk, which we cut across by two parallel stripes that run through their centre. Signs were applied with airbrush directly onto the walls.
We aimed to achieve a clear and rough result that enhances the visual spirit of the large scale signs in the newly designed building by London-based architect David Adjaye. The work was commissioned for the opening of the Center in June 2005.
Commissioned to Timon Botez. Designed in collaboration with Timon Botez.
