Graphics for interactive installation throughout the recently relaunched historical displays of the Louvain Institute for Ireland in Europe. The aim of the project is to allow visitors to penetrate the history of the place and travel in time.
The graphics shown on the right hand side of this page belong to the historical timeline developed for the site, inspired in an image of clouds taken from a plane. Visitors are invited to navigate over those clouds: the farther from the ground, the more general the historical events they access. As they approach the ground through the clouds, the more particular. Events appear written on the white surfaces and disappear as viewers leave the clouds behind. A way of experiencing time through height levels.
